“Trauma is a very limited word to describe an event so overwhelming and so big it disintegrates our whole being. And yet the work of re-integration is natural to us, as we’ve been doing it since birth. After a traumatic life event we begin the process of re-integration into our senses, the nervous system, the energy bodies, the mental bodies and the aura. This life event catalyzes the healing forces of our soul. It takes the intuitive healing of our soul to bring these forces into harmony. This is the initiation of every healer. We have a direct channel when all is absorbed and re-integrated. And our next step is to step out into the collective field. Our presence in the circle will lead others to their own healing. We are all individually necessary for wholeness and collective healing.”
Healing, awareness, freedom and a felt sense of source energy, pure being, higher power, God is within us, in our living experience.
Our spiritual work is to create a new paradigm of healing and thriving and one that is deeply and intimately connected to the collective consciousness and healing.
The pathways to achieving this I believe are all held within the nervous system.
About the work of Focalizing:
Focalizing Source Energy is an efficient modern healing technology to access our innate intelligence to heal and our natural healing gifts given first and foremost by our body. When we tune into our body’s wisdom, stay present with the experience with a witness and practitioner or in a community group we are alchemizing our own healing in service to the whole.
I came to this work after decades of being on a healing journey. When I found the work I truly felt I had arrived. Back to where I started and now with an integrated framework that was my essence and my own creation. Because the nature of this work is open source and it works with our intuition I believe it can work with many different elements and lend to the collective healing. There is no one size fits all approach to healing. However this is a good start. Many who are drawn to the work of focalizing are emotionally intelligent and sensitive beings who have worked with more than one healing arts and modality and they have been through spiritual lineages and have had some practice.
I am a mother of two boys ages 6 and 3. Motherhood has been my life’s work and I’ve devoted myself to it in the place of a career. It has come with a lot of healing and a lot of graduate level learning. I studied as a partial major in Developmental Psychology as an undergrad at Sarah Lawrence College. I approach my healing work from two decades on a spiritual path as a Yoga and Meditation practitioner and teacher. I was given a spiritual name in both my lineages, Gianprem, which simply means Wisdom, and Love.
I first discovered Meditation through Pema Chodron and Shambhala Buddhism. I am trained in this lineage as well as a being a certified Level 2 trained Kundalini Yoga and Meditation Instructor and a Khalsa Way Prenatal Yoga Instructor through the Kundalini Research Institute. Kundalini Yoga is the backbone of my spiritual teachings. Most of who I am comes from my daily sadhana. I love teaching this practice more and more as I grow within it and as we all move closer to embodying the Aquarian age. These teachings have a lot of tools for the transition we are in and I am blessed to have had some seriously powerful teachers to pass these teachings on to me.
I am also a trained Birth and Postpartum doula which has been the passion behind all my spiritual work to birth a child into this world and to raise my children and be of service to mothers. I received my first 500 hour training in traditional Vinyasa Yoga in 2007 and was shortly after introduced to Somatic Experiencing and the Feldenkrais method while working at the Esalen Institute. I’ve been integrating these spiritual practices and emdodiment work ever since.
My journey as a yogini led me deeply into the lifestyle practices of yoga especially relating to pregnancy and birth. My passion is to offer these teachings to expand and elevate the birth experience by supporting a 40 day retreat for postpartum, the 4th trimester and various practices to nourish and nurture the postpartum mother.
